Multi Media Messaging Engineer

Responsabilitati:

Manage networks and nodes within the messaging and provisioning service domain of our customers networks (SMSC, MMSC, MoIP, MIEP, EMA, etc.).
This includes:
Preventive maintenance activities;
Fault handling and corrective actions (troubleshooting, root cause analysis, reporting and improvement plan);
Participate in project activities, implementing / adapting (new) E2E service functionalities;
Provide input, implement and verify improvements in processes- and work instructions;
Management of daily routines tasks;
Management of cronjobs and automatic maintenance scripts;
Verify and implement configuration changes.

Cerinte:

- Bachelor/Master of science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent with minimum of 1 to 5 years of work experience;
- Knowledge of operation and troubleshooting of messaging and/or provisioning platforms;
- Familiar with SS7 signaling systems and MAP (mobile application part) traces;
- GSM and WCDMA network topology and function;
- Previous experience with trouble ticket handling
- Good level of Unix/Linux skills/experience;
- Basic experience with bash/perl scripting;
- Basic experience with relational databases;
- Flexible and responsive to changing work patterns and demands;
- Good communication skills written and verbal;
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment;
- Good English skills.
