SENIOR PROCESS ENGINEER, Location: Brasov

Our client is a St. Louis, US based global manufacturing organization, employing over 129,000 people worldwide with a turnover of over $20.9 billion in 2009, with more than 19 years of experience in Sales, Engineering and Manufacturing in Central & Eastern Europe. The employee will perform his activity at the site of one of the Emerson's suppliers, a provider of Electronics Manufacturing Services.

Responsabilitati:

- monitoring and improving SMT yields and subsequently driving improvements to the SMT process
- supporting the development and set up of assembly box build processes, monitoring and improving the yields of these processes
- supporting the set up of functional test systems
- support the installation of ICT fixtures
- work with the contract manufacturer to apply Lean, 5S, 6 Sigma methodologies to improve shop floor/production systems
- ensure the quality of product being built by carrying out inspection when required
- selection and auditing of local suppliers
- development and improvement of local supply chain
- approval of piece parts from local suppliers

Cerinte:

- degree in Manufacturing/Process Engineering
- 10+ years working experience in manufacturing
- 4+ years experience in the electronic manufacturing industry as a process engineer
- strong knowledge of SMT manufacturing processes
- strong knowledge of assembly box build processes
- experience with functional test systems
- experience with ICT
- experience in shop floor improvement methodologies (Lean, 5S, 6 Sigma)
- ability to work independently on own initiative
- strong communication skills
- fluent in both English and Romanian
- will be based full time in Brasov, Romania
- flexibility to travel when required
